La huerta en casa















Con nuestra intervención Huertos Urbanos, hemos querido dar un toque de atención luminoso, al problema que supone de la falta de espacios verdes en las grandes ciudades.

Para ello, hemos comprado 10 kg de verduras y las hemos plantado, junto con nuestras luces, en pleno centro de Madrid, con la intención de tenerlas frescas y bien a mano.

Pero es muy complicado encontrar espacios con tierra para cultivar, en zonas con tanta especulación inmobiliaria y hemos tenido que recurrir a una zanja abierta por el ayuntamiento para meter nuevas canalizaciones. También hemos aprovechado los contenedores de tierra que se utilizan en las obras del vecindario.

Esta intervención vegetal se llevó a cabo la madrugada del domingo 1 de febrero, en la calle Andrés Borrego y Jesús del Valle del barrio de Noviciado de Madrid.








Contra todo pronóstico, la huerta urbana, ha permanecido intacta más de un día, en el que muchos vecinos se han parado a fotografiar y a comentar, esta extraña aparición.

With this intervention called Urban Orchards, we wanted to give a luminous touch and attracts people´s attention to the problem that the lack of green spaces in the great cities creates.

For this purpose we bought 10 kilos of vegetables and we planted them along with our lights right in the center of Madrid as a way to have them handy fresh and ready toe at.

But he it is very complicated to find areas with soil to be cultivated in parts of the city with so many building. And we have had to resort to a ditch opened by the city council. We have also taken advantage of the containers with earth that are used in works of in the neighborhood.

This vegetal intervention was carried out the dawn of Sunday 1st of February, in Andrés Borrego street and Jesus del Valle street in Madrid´s Noviciado district. Against all prognosis, the urban orchard has remained intact more that a day, and many neighbours have stopped to photograph and to comment this strange sight.
